Who are we?
ARE YOU A DEVELOPER, DESIGNER, POLICY ANALYST OR ENGAGED CITIZEN INTERESTED IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY?
What is Hacking Health Ottawa? The big event that most people know is a fun, hands-on, intense 3-day hackathon. Here in Ottawa our goal isn’t just to organize hackathons, it’s to have long-term impact on the health system around us. We hope that these hackathon projects can be fully developed and brought to market for the benefit of communities everywhere. Hacking Health is a non-profit organization founded in Montreal in 2012. In just 4 years, the movement has spread across 21 countries, with chapters active in 45 cities, with more than 250 events and 400 volunteers which have helped facilitate over 600 new projects to improve health care.
We aim to transform healthcare by connecting healthcare professionals with designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs like you to build realistic solutions to frontline healthcare problems that can be integrated and implemented into our healthcare system.
