Hacking Health Nijmegen- Meetup Pre Hackathon

April 29, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

IMG_7202[Meetup Hacking Health Nijmegen – Friday 29th of April

After a successful Design Thinking class from David Grim and Eva Eikhout during the last meetup we now announce our second meetup for Hacking Health Nijmegen.

Consumer technology

The main theme for this meetup is (consumer)technology, we will show several devices (scroll down for a quick overview) that are already on the market or will be available soon that can help people to monitor their own health. With the number of devices and measurable vital signs increasing new opportunities present themselves. Opportunities to help empowering patients, to improve research and to improve the quality of care and quality of life. We want to ask you, what would you do differently with devices like these?

Aside from the devices for vital signs we’ll also have a demo from the Radboudumc 3d Lab, a demo of the augmented reality glasses Meta (watch their TED talk) and the therapeutic Robot PARO.

A hacka-what?

Aside from the technology aspect we will also tell a bit more about the latest developments around Dutch Hacking Health. For those who are completely new to the concept of hackathons, hacking health and Dutch Hacking Health we’ll also explain what the movement is all about
