Lançamento Hacking Health Sorocaba

A great kick off
Sorocaba’s Technological Park hosted the city’s first Hacking Health (HH) meeting on July 28. The event attracted over 90 participants, among them professionals from the medical sectors, IT and entrepreneurs.
Director of Institutional Relations of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada Paulo de Castro Reis kicked off the event, presenting possible business and partnerships that may be created between companies and investors of both countries via interactive channels such as HH.
To provide inspiration Business developer Mark Bregantin from FIT presented their Nexcor heart monitor, inspired by its inventor’s own experience of witnessing his family members suffer heart attacks. Nexcor is the world’s first intelligent mobile heart monitor capable of sending patient electrocardiograms and GPS location to rescue teams, allowing for early detection of heart problems.
Also in attendance, Sorocaba’s Healthcare Secretary Francisco Antonio Fernandes said that in addition to encouraging local doctors to participate he would also offer his own personal medical support and contributions.What’s next
The continuation of the meet ups will be through the 1st Hacking Health Café, that will be part of the will take place within. According to Director of Technology and Innovation Inova Sorocaba Rodrigo Mendes the main objective of the next meetup is to engage and connect people: “The idea is to hold monthly meetings in various locations – both in innovation centers and in hospitals – to discover what problems and how they can be overcome,” says Rodrigo.
Registrations are already opened and will take place during the the 3rd edition of Empreende Sorocaba on 23rd of August in Sorocaba’s Technology Park at 9am.
No dia 28 as atividades vão começar com a apresentação oficial do Hacking Health Global e do Hacking Health Brasil por Gib Medeiros, responsável pelo programa no Brasil. Em seguida, será lançado o Hacking Health Sorocaba em uma palestra sobre as expectativas para a cidade, o cronograma de atividades e as ferramentas para auxiliar nos projetos que surgirem na cidade.
Além de debater o papel de médicos, enfermeiros, profissionais de TI, designers e demais empreendedores no processo de inovação, o Hacking Health Sorocaba vai lançar uma plataforma colaborativa online para troca de ideias e projetos entre os participantes.
